Few people are blessed with a voice like LZ Love’s , and even fewer are as inspiring and exciting to witness on stage as this Chigaco native. LZ defies  genres, whether singing R&B, Gospel, Funk, Dance or the Blues, LZ delivers  the soul and sound that people from around the world have come to know her by. An undeniable talent.
LZ began her career at 16 singing backgrounds for the legendary Sylvester in San Francisco. As a background singer she toured with Clarence Clemmons, Billy Preston, James Brown, and for many years, the Queen of Motown, Mary Wells. At Mary Wells’ funeral, LZ led Amazing Grace with Barry Gordy Jr., Stevie Wonder, and Smokey Robinson. LZ spent time singing with the Walter Hawkins Singers of “Oh, Happy Day!” lineage, Michael Franti, and Parliament/Funkadelic. Stepping out on her own, LZ Love has presented herself as an artist opening up for the likes of Luther Vandross, Natalie Cole, Damian Marley, and George Benson.
